Scope: The acceptance criteria stipulates requirements for recognition of self-drilling and self-piercing tapping screws for steel-to-steel connections, wire to steel connections, shear wall designs, wood structural panel diaphragm designs, steel deck diaphragms, and cold-formed steel framing

Applicable Products: Self-Drilling and Self-Piercing, Thread-cutting, and Thread-Forming Tapping Screws

Test Procedures: Fasteners are evaluated against manufacturer specifications for dimensions and tested for corrosion resistance, shear and tensile strength, bending moment strength, connection shear strength, pull-out strength and pull-over strength.

End Result: For evaluation of material, dimensional, and performance properties of applicable fasteners
