Luke Gwenter, M.Sc., Scientific Associate II, Food & Nutrition

In 2022, Luke Gwenter, a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr), joined Intertek Food Scientific and Regulatory Consulting.

Luke has experience in conducting dietary intake assessments across various jurisdictions, including but not limited to the United States, European Union, Canada, Singapore, and the UK. These contributions are vital to the risk assessment process, a key component in obtaining authoritative food and ingredient approvals and monitoring nutrients, additives, contaminants, and other dietary substances. Furthermore, Luke actively supports projects focused on compliance within the intricate framework of regulatory agencies. Since joining, Luke has contributed to the scientific field through his work, including a publication titled " Low- and no-calorie sweetener intakes from beverages – an up-to-date assessment in four regions: Brazil, Canada, Mexico and the United States".

Luke received his B.Sc. in Chemistry at the University of Bath. He went on to complete his M.Sc. at the University of Surrey in Human Nutrition.
