Labiba Nahia, B.Sc., Scientific Associate 1 – Safety and Regulatory, Food & Nutrition
Labiba Nahian is a Scientific Associate in the Safety and Regulatory Team of Intertek Health Sciences Inc. Labiba is involved various tasks and responsibilities such as the development of documentation supporting pre-market approvals for ingredients such as food enzymes in major jurisdictions across the globe and reviewing comprehensive scientific literature searches to support safety of ingredients.
Labiba is a graduate from the University of Waterloo with a background in Biochemistry and a specialization in Biotechnology. While completing her degree, Labiba spent 8 months working as a Quality Assurance Technician at an International Organization for Standardization (ISO)-certified laboratory and manufacturer of bulk chemicals and 8 months working as a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo: School of Pharmacy.
